Malifaux, The M&SU, Ramos, Ramos
Introduction
Well I get to paint the guy himself Ramos, hes the master of this box and honestly one of the cooler guys in the fluff, at least in my reading. I wanted him to fit in with the other models in this set by trying to make him look more "machined" I went for dark colours (browns and greys) and smooth textures.Painting
Step By Step
- Prime: Black (Vallejo, Surface Primer Black)
- Skin: Skin (Reaper, Caucasian Flesh)
- Skin Ink: Black (Army Painter Ink, Dark Tone)
- Skin Highlight (Reaper, Maiden Flesh)
- Pants: Brown (Reaper, Ashen Brown)
- Pants Ink: Black (Army Painter Ink, Dark Tone)
- Coat Dry brush: White (P3, Menoth White Highlight)
- Eye: Black (Army Painter, Matt Black)
Bases
- Prime: Black (Vallejo, Surface Primer Black)
- Rough dry brush of the dirt: Brown (Reaper, Ashen Brown)
- Rough dry brush of the dirt: Brown (Reaper, Golden Brown)
- Pipe: Silver (Army Painter, Gun Metal)
- Pipe Ink: Brown (Army Painter Ink. Soft Tone)
- Edged: Black (Army Painter, Matt Black)
Basing
Like the other bases in the box I went for dark colours the only major difference is looking at Ramos I really wanted something sitting behind his legs, to make the space seem less conspicuous due to the billowing cloak. I ended up choosing pipes as I felt that looked more mechanical over the rocks or wood. Conclusion
Even if he wasn't a complicated paint job I feel like I did the model justice and made something I wont be unhappy with in the future.
